It takes you step by step thru the process from diagnosis to wellness and explains what you can expect and how you deal with it. It also identifies some of the medical terms you will hear and lets the patient use it as a diary to record her own cancer story. At the end is an outline for writing a story of your life. It is a great project and one with lasting importance.

Everyone who’s anyone has a T-shirt. We’re no different. However, the shirt IS different. This over-sized all cotton, long sleeved version is designed to have the book cover look like a patch pocket on the lower front and the back of the book cover looks like your hip pocket. This is a story of one woman’s bout with breast cancer that focuses on life after. It takes some of the pain out of a painful situation. It helps you to know what they are talking about with the ‘medical terms’ you wish you understood. It is an inspiration to those just embarking upon this cancer journey but is uplifting and an easy read for everyone. The author is a seasoned writer and a good portion of the book is filled with newspaper articles she has written after recovery from a modified radical mastectomy. They are enlightening, hopeful and often entertaining at a time when there isn’t enough to laugh about. Professionals in the field, as well as other cancer patients claim the book as a ‘must read’.

This adorable hat is a nice choice instead of wigs and scarfs. It is white woven acrylic in one size. It can be a fun project as well as a necessary way to cover the chrome dome for a while. Try decorating it with rhinestones, gluing temple curls of your own hair, if you like. It is also great fun to attach beads or pearls to the sides and back in a Cleopatra style, varying lengths.
